Earlier today I screened Disney’s John Carter to get ready for next week’s interview that’s planned here in Toronto, and while I (as I always say), can’t really say anything about the film yet, I think I can safely say this right now: I was totally drawn into the world of Barsoom (otherwise known as Mars).

As films go, that’s not an overly common feeling for me, so I’m definitely impressed, but if you want to know more you’ll have to wait until next week.

John Carter stars Taylor Kitsch as our hero, the stunning Lynn Collins as princess Dejah Thoris, plus Willem Dafoe, Samantha Morton, Dominic West, and Polly Walker.

The review is headed your way next Thursday, March 8, and the film opens in theatres on March 9.
