TIFF 07 – Day 3: Notes from an elevator

Juno - Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman

On the way up to the back-to-back press conferences with George Clooney and then Brad Pitt, I ended up in an elevator with Aaron Eckhart and Ben Affleck. The two chatted a bit, with Aaron wondering if Ben was in town for a film. Ben of course responded that he was here with his wife Jennifer Garner, who’s in town for the film Juno (there’s photos from the press conference over here), and to support his brother Casey who’s in Brad’s film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

It was a funny little meeting to be in the middle of, and I just wish I could have snapped a photo. Ben also mentioned though that he’s just gearing up for release his new film, but the odd thing is I thought he mentioned it being a documentary. I must be crazy though because I think his next film is just He’s Just Not That Into You.

Back to waiting in line I go. Only an hour-and-a-half to go. [Yawn]

“…gearing up for release his new film,…” it’s his directorial debut, “Gone, Baby, Gone,” which premieres Oct. 15 and opens that week.

Thanks! I totally missed that film when I was looking on IMDb.
