Hey, Canada, you actually need to check this out. I’m not normally a fan of Classified, but you really need to watch his video for “Oh Canada” from his album Self Explanatory.

Check out this brilliant cover of the day that started circulating on Tumblr tonight. The video features singer Lauren Zettler with her musician friends Cameron Mizell, Kait Lawson, Allison Weiss, and Danielle Owens-Reid performing Go West’s “King of Wishful Thinking” and played on mandolin, ukulele and banjo.

After something like 19 years, they are still one of my all-time favorite bands.
I just finished listening to the Barenaked Ladies‘ new single “You Run Away” and I can’t wait for the full album which is appropriately enough called All in Good Time.

Like I said back in 2009, k-os’ “I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman” is hands down one of my favorite songs from last year, and his album Yes! was one of the best albums too.

Earlier this year Imogen Heap appeared on BBC Radio 2 for an interview and performance, and the result was this stunning cover of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”.

For those of you who celebrate such things, Merry Christmas! Here’s a little Christmas jingle by Mariah Carey to get you in the holiday spirit (honestly, I’m not a fan, but this is an awesome Christmas song). Now off you go – eat, drink and be merry!

Maybe the most awesome thing I’ve seen this… year? I don’t know, it’s pretty freakin’ ridiculously great though. As a huge Queen fan I’m surprised I’m okay with this since I’ve hated quite a few covers over the years, but this is The Muppets we’re talking about. Can they really do any wrong?

It was a very pink affair tonight as Katy Perry performed at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto for her Hello Katy Tour.
While the lawns were completely empty, probably thanks to the rainy day we had in the city, the seats were packed with screaming fans, who snapped pictures almost constantly throughout the first few songs.
