Two-minute preview of ‘2012′ hits TV tonight

Roland Emmerich’s disaster epic 2012 is still over a month away from release, but tonight you can get a two-minute sneak peek of the film, and it’s coming to pretty much every channel on television.

Between 10:50 and 11:00 PM (ET & PT) tonight (October 1), Sony Pictures will be rolling out a massive “roadblock” for 2012 that will appear on almost every network across North America, giving viewers a whole scene from the film to get them interested in the upcoming release.



First trailer for ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ reboot

Warner Bros. debuted the new trailer for A Nightmare on Elm Street yesterday, which stars Jackie Earle Haley as the one and only Freddy Krueger. Directed by Samuel Bayer, the reboot is headed for theatres on April 30, 2010.

Sitting in a meeting room at the Metro Toronto Convention centre while a Daft Punk track played on repeat, I waited with a packed room full of fans intent on a hour-long event with film producer Justin Springer, who was in town to talk about his new film, Tron Legacy.
