Matthew MacCaull in Tomorrowland

The future may be amazing in Disney’s Tomorrowland, but even a shiny future needs a few good men, and that’s where Matthew MacCaull comes in. In Tomorrowland, MacCaull plays Dave Clark, a government agent tasked with protecting the secrets of the place known as Tomorrowland, which seems to have a few threats.

“He’s this smooth guy,” MacCaull said. “He sort of comes from this retro vibe. His playlist starts with the main theme from Bullet and goes from there. He’s got this sixties vibe about him.”

Starring George Clooney and Britt Robertson, Tomorrowland opens in theatres today, and was filmed in MacCaull’s home turf in Vancouver.

During his recent visit to Toronto to talk about the film, the very charming actor talked about his iconic first appearance in the film, working with Clooney and the talented director–Brad Bird–plus what he dreamed about having when he was a child.
