This Is It: The movie, the music
On October 28, the sold-out documentary This Is It will debut in select theatres around the world, offering one last glimpse of Michael Jackson with the last-known recorded performance of the international pop star.
Recorded while Jackson was warming up at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the movie offers audiences an opportunity to see the singer in his element as he planned for a massive stage show. At the same time, Sony Music and their label, Epic, are releasing a special compilation on October 27 with some of Jackson’s biggest songs, plus one added bonus.
Included on the two-disc compilation of songs and demos is one previously unreleased song titled, appropriately enough, “This Is It”.
