The Dark Knight: Bat-Pod

Bat-Pod in The Dark Knight

Warner Bros. hardly needs to do any work to promote the eagerly anticipated Batman sequel, The Dark Knight, but Toronto fans have a cool opportunity this week with the arrival of the Bat-Pod. That’s right, see Batman’s cool, new ride before the film debuts on July 18. Plus, the Tumbler, Batman’s “tank” from the first film will also be on-hand.

Catch the Bat-Pod on Breakfast Television and at the Eaton Centre on Thursday, July 10; at the Scotiabank Theatre and MuchMusic on Friday, July 11; and at Edgefest on Saturday, July 12.

Torontonians are also getting the extra special treatment with this visit since the Bat-Pod is only scheduled to visit 14 cities, and Toronto is the only Canadian stop on the tour. Following the appearance in Toronto, the Bat-Pod and Tumbler move on to Niagara Falls, New York; New York City; Chicago; and Los Angeles for the film’s premier.

The Dark Knight was directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, with Heath Ledger, who died shortly after the film wrapped, as the Joker. The film arrives in theatres, and IMAX, on Friday, July 18.
