Olivia Mojica: welcome to your newfound celebrity status. In case you don’t know her name, Mojica was a little-known contestant from season 2 of American Idol, only making it into the top twenty-four semi-finalists, but a new sex tape that’s about to be released from adult video company Vivid Entertainment could change all that. Olivia, who was dubbed one of the “best of the rest” on the show, apparently filmed an explicit sex tape with her boyfriend when she was just eighteen, and now it’s going public under the title Hardcore Idol.

As the name suggests, it’s supposed to be very explicit, at least according to one source on the Internet.

Recently it seems like American Idol has had a lot of scandals, or at least events that have raised eyebrows, including photos that appeared online of finalist Antonella Barba in a see-through wet t-shirt. A sex tape of a contestant definitely takes the cake though, and could further tarnish the squeaky-clean image of the show.

Mojica is a Texas native who still performs at clubs and venues across America and she also has an upcoming album due out in early 2008. There’s currently no word from Olivia whether or not she approves of the tape, but Vivid is currently trying to contact her about promoting the video and sharing revenue from the video sales. You can also rest assured that no one involved with the show are involved with the sex tape.

According to Vivid the sex tape actually came to them through “an unidentified third party”, which is definitely not the first time that a tape like this has made it into the hands of a distributor.

You can check out a preview of the video over at www.hardcoreidol.com, but of course be warned – it’s explicit. The DVD will hit stores on May 3 and Vivid also has another sex tape out for sale which stars Kim Kardashian and R&B artist Ray J.
