LMFAO, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Nelly Furtado, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida, Kelly Clarkson and Ed Sheeran: these are just a few of the performers who will be lighting up Street West in Toronto this Sunday, June 17, as the Video Awards bring some of the biggest stars in the world to our doorstep. Earlier this week I sat down with VJs and to talk about the big show, what they’re expecting, and who they think are going to knock fans off their feet.

On top of talking about the stars, and how they are preparing for the huge event, the two hosts mentioned a few surprises we might see on Sunday, including the fact that Flo Rida will likely need one of his co-performers to stand-in for backing vocals on his song “Wild Ones,” since Sia is not expected at the MMVAs, and Giddings suggested the event might be a great opportunity back stage with some of the other stars on hand for a viral version of Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit “Call Me Maybe”.

The 2012 MMVAs hits the air on Sunday at 9:00 PM on MuchMusic in Canada and Fuse in the United States, with the red carpet kicking off at 8:00 PM. Check back with The GATE for coverage, photos, and video from the big event.
