The Babe: Vivid Girl Stefani Morgan

Q. Where did you grow up and go to school?
“I grew up in Riverside, CA (about an one 1/2 hours out of LA). Almost all of my family lives in So Cal, so it’s all kinda home to me.”
Q. How would you describe your personality as a child?
“Competitive. Anything under 100% in my classes was not good enough. I started softball at five, striking out meant the world was ending. I began tap, jazz, and ballet at 3 and I took these classes very seriously. I remember my dance instructor explaining I couldn’t always be front and center because it’s not fair to everyone else, and apparently the kids shorter than me couldn’t be seen. When I really care about something, I give it my all.”
Q. What were your biggest influences as a child.
“Music. My Parents were almost always listening to oldies. My friends still make fun of some of the songs on my iPod. I love old movies as well. Rule of thumb – if it’s in black and white, it’s probably a good one. I’m starting to think I was born in the wrong era.”
Q. What was your first brush with the adult business and what was the series of events that led you into adult film?
“I was about seven when a girlfriend and I found movies in her mom’s closet… all of which we had
to see the next time she left for work. When I was 18 I began mainstream modeling full time. I was fortunate and didn’t have to work too much, however, what I did experience didn’t leave me completely fulfilled. I thought about porn long before entering the biz but I just didn’t know how to go about it. It’s an industry that doesn’t usually have open calls and such. Much different world than what I was living in.”
Q. Is your family okay with you career choice?
“Yes and no. I was not close with anyone in my family growing up, so I never really considered their thoughts on my career change. Several of them are very supportive and surprisingly, I have a more active family life since I got in the business.”
Q. Working with Vivid, a leading company in the industry, do you think that this makes a difference to your career and if so, how?
“I think it definitely makes a difference. For starters, they are so well known. Being a Vivid Girl brings a prestige along side of it all. the company is known for being top notch, so naturally it works in my favor. However, it is still up to me to deliver.”
Q. What have been some of the most interesting, surprising, quirky incidents to happen to you so far in your career?
“No one believes that I do porn. NO ONE. Even when I wear my Vivid necklace, people still think I’m joking. I was signing at LA Erotica In June at the AVN booth, everyone thought I was a spokesmodel. At
every event, people are a little startled. Things are changing with every new release of mine, thankfully.”
Q. What do you like best about being an adult star and what do you like
least?
“I love that I am able to just be myself, I’ve always been very aware of my sexuality, and I can act on it openly. I’ve always been a “love me or leave” me kinda girl, and with my career I am really just screaming what I love. I think what is the biggest counterpart to what I love is the fact that there are so many misconceptions about girls in the business, and the business in general for that matter. People think we are insecure, have had bad childhoods, no respect for ourselves, and the list goes on and on. I am not saying that that doesn’t exist, but there are a lot of positive people in the business, and most of us just like sex.”
Q. If you weren’t an adult star right now, what could you see yourself doing?
“I don’t know to be honest. I know I would be in the entertainment business. I love everything that comes with it. If I wasn’t such a ham and didn’t have to be in front of the camera, I would probably be doing makeup, hair, styling, or something like that. I can’t help it, I will always love playing dress up.”
Q. Do you feel there has been more mainstream acceptance of the industry?
“Definitely. It’s changed so much even in the past few years. I sometimes wonder though if more people are accepting it, or if more people are just jumping on the bandwagon. Either way I think it is wonderful. Sex is in everyone’s lives. People should be comfortable with it.”
Q. What type of men are you attracted to?
“Businessmen and bad boys. Polar opposites ? I’ve always been attracted to an older guys, and when you put them in a suit its all over for me. The whole bad boy thing is mainly cause they keep you on yours toes, well at least from my experience.”
Q. If you knew you were going to be along on a desert island for awhile, what five items would you be sure to take with you and why?
“My best friend, my dog, a huge chest of books, a pocket rocket, and a camera to document all the chaos that finds me even when I’m deserted.”
Q. What do you want readers of this interview to remember about you?
“That there’s a lot more below the surface.”
