Before the 37th Toronto International Film Festival had even started, I sat down with actress Emily Hampshire to talk about her latest role as Julia in director Sean Garrity’s My Awkward Sexual Adventure.

Starring as a stripper with money troubles, Hampshire’s character makes a deal with Jordan, played by the film’s writer, Jonas Chernick, an accountant who needs help with his love life. In exchange for helping Julia manage her money, she agrees to teach him how to be a better lover.

Check out the interview with Hampshire to get her take on making this film, what she learned making the movie, and how My Awkward Sexual Adventure even changed her mind about filmmaking.

My Awkward Sexual Adventure screens at TIFF 2012 on today, Tuesday, September 11, again on Thursday, September 13, and on Saturday, September 15.
