Toronto International Film Festival 2013: Ticket and package details

by W. Andrew Powell

For eleven days in September, Toronto welcomes some of the biggest and best international films and celebrities, and all it takes to enjoy this massive event is a single ticket. Yes, I’m talking about the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 5 to 15, and while ticket packages have already gone on sale, there’s still time to plan to pick up single tickets when they go on sale in August.

To purchase ticket packages online, visit the TIFF Ticket Wizard website, and then choose from the My Choice or TIFF Choice groups of packages that ranges from $79 for The Canadian Pack with 5 screenings, to $362 for the Premium Flex Pack with 6 premium tickets.

Film lovers looking for a bit of glitz and glamour can also pick up tickets for the TIFF Closing Night Gala and Cocktail Reception for $203.

Outside of the ticket packages, the TIFF Festival Box Office opens on August 20 at Metro Centre, 225 King Street West, where movie lovers will be able to pick up the Programme Book and film schedule. Starting August 22 to 23, single tickets will then go on sale for TIFF Patrons Circle Members. From August 24 to 27, TIFF Members will be able to make Regular & Premium Flex package ticket selections, followed by ticket selections from August 27 to 30 for non-members.

Finally, single à la carte tickets will go on sale on September 1 at the Festival Box Office, online, or by phone. At that time, tickets can be purchased by calling 416.599.TIFF or 1.888.599.8433, or at tiff.net/festival.

Adult single tickets will be on sale this year for $23.50, for Regular tickets, and $45 for Premium tickets, including taxes, but some additional fees may apply. Senior 65 years and older pay $20.25 (Regular) and $37.50 (Premium), while 25 and under pay $17 (Regular) and $28.25 (Premium). Children 12 years and under are $14.50 (Regular) and $26 (Premium).

Stay tuned to The GATE for more details on the 38th Toronto International Film Festival.
