Bachelor Canada
News and reviews for The Bachelor Canada, airing on Citytv and featuring Bachelor Brad Smith in season one.
After two drama-filled months of rose ceremonies and romantic helicopter rides, Canada’s first Bachelor has finally found “the one” on The Bachelor Canada. With tears of joy streaming down his face, Brad Smith proposed to Bianka Kamber, a 28-year-old nurse from Mississauga, Ontario, on an island paradise almost six months ago. Now that the secret’s out, the happy couple sat down with The GATE on their first official day as a “real” couple to talk about finding love in front of the camera and their plans for the future.
Earlier today, Jessica Napier interviewed The Bachelor Canada‘s Brad Smith and his fiance Bianka Kamber for The GATE, but after the big interview I took a minute to find out what the former football star thought about this weekend’s 100th Grey Cup game in Toronto.
So here we are folks, Brad Smith is left with two gorgeous brunettes and one difficult decision. Well, not really all that difficult but we’ll play along for the next hour for the finale of the first season of The Bachelor Canada.
It’s that moment we’ve all been waiting for. Finally the jilted Bachelorettes are back together for an in-studio no holds barred bitchfest about what really happened during this season of The Bachelor Canada.
Brad’s search for love got serious as he visited the hometowns of the four remaining Bachelorettes–Bianka, Gabrielle, Kara, and Whitney–last night on The Bachelor Canada. Kicking off the hometown dates, Brad met Bianka in Mississauga, ON, where they discovered their mutual love of mint chocolate chip ice cream before sitting down for a family dinner. Though things got tense when Bianka told Brad that her parents only spoke Croatian, Brad soon realized they were all in on the joke, putting him at ease and setting a comfortable tone for the rest of the evening.
It’s week four on The Bachelor Canada; Brad’s t-shirts are getting tighter, the Vs are getting deeper and he’s that much closer to finding the girl of his dreams. Brad plans to send four women home instead of two this week and at this rate, we’re looking at a Halloween wedding folks.
It’s week three for The Bachelor Canada and 12 girls remain in the running to become Bachelor Brad’s bride-to-be (maybe). Last night’s episode opened with the girls casually posing on an assortment of patio furniture to await the arrival of poor man’s Chris Harrison host Tyler Harcott. Tyler lets the ladies know that there will be two group dates this week–a six-on-one and a five-on-one–as well as the coveted one-on-one date.
This week on The Bachelor Canada, Bachelor Brad Smith’s remaining sixteen suitors move into the mansion, a multilevel sorority house from hell with single beds. Everything is all high fives and giggles as the girls enthusiastically pick through their gift baskets full of drug store essentials from the show’s sponsors–hey someone’s gotta pay for this, right?
Since 2002, Canadians have watched our American neighbours find, and lose, love on reality TV. Finally, The Bachelor‘s roses are blooming on this side of the border. Last night’s hotly anticipated series debut for The Bachelor Canada saw 25 shiny-haired hopefuls arrive by limo to compete for the heart of our own square-jawed, all-Canadian Bachelor.
