The holidays are almost here. There's Christmas music on the radio, stores are filled with festive goodies, and Santa Claus has even been showing up to meet with the little ones. That means it's time to follow our holiday tradition and kick off The GATE's Holiday Gift Guides with the all-important first edition: our charity gift guide.
This is a tradition for The GATE that means as much to us as any other custom of the holidays: before we get into this year's Holiday Gift Guide, I want to share some of my favorite giving ideas for charities, and ways that everyone can support a good cause before they go shopping.
Gift-giving, parties, and celebrating time with the people we love is what the holidays are all about, but this unique season also give us an opportunity to make a difference in our communities, and that starts with supporting charities in our back yards and around the world.
The GATE's annual Holiday Gift Guide series launches today, and once again we're kicking off the gift-giving ideas with the important part--the charities. This time of year we celebrate the holiday season by sharing with family and friends, but as we have always said, it's also a great time of year to reach out and share with the rest of our community--and the world--by giving to charities and organizations that always need support.
