Gallery: 2010 Golden Globe Awards – Red Carpet

Umbrellas were the fashionable accessory of the night as the rain fell on Beverly Hills during the 2010 Golden Globe Awards. Held at the Hilton Hotel’s International Ballroom, the event drew some of the biggest names in entertainment, who all walked the red carpet, while getting more than a little wet in the process.

Two-minute preview of ‘2012′ hits TV tonight

Roland Emmerich’s disaster epic 2012 is still over a month away from release, but tonight you can get a two-minute sneak peek of the film, and it’s coming to pretty much every channel on television.

Between 10:50 and 11:00 PM (ET & PT) tonight (October 1), Sony Pictures will be rolling out a massive “roadblock” for 2012 that will appear on almost every network across North America, giving viewers a whole scene from the film to get them interested in the upcoming release.

On Thursday, September 10 director Jon Amiel’s film Creation, about the life of Charles Darwin, opened the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival with a gala red carpet event at Roy Thomson Hall. On hand to walk the carpet were stars Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany, not to mention the great-great-grandson of Darwin, Randal Keynes.



Quentin Tarantino on the red carpet for ‘Inglourious Basterds’

Director Quentin Tarantino was in Toronto yesterday to promote his latest film, the war drama Inglourious Basterds, which screened at the Scotiabank Theatre.

Tarantino chatted with the press, met with fans, signed autographs, and posed with an action figure of himself, before heading into the theatre to introduce the film.
