There is something truly fickle about fame and celebrity, especially in this era of wildly out of control celebrity worship. And don’t get me wrong, I am as much a participant in this as anyone (I’ll admit right here and now that I did indeed buy a copy of the new Vogue for Men when it premiered last week).
Traditionally, the first weekend of the film festival are the days that are the most top heavy in terms of stars and filmmakers coming into town to make the scene and showcase their films.
Last year was a big year for the Toronto International Film Festival as over 400 celebrity guests arrived for the parties, red carpets and festivities of North America’s most important film festival. However, that’s looking pretty pale compared to this year as an estimated 500 celebrities are confirmed for the 30th Festival of Festivals.
The 30th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival is now locked and loaded and ready to be blasted out over this city come September 8th.
