If you love free stuff, Xbox Live has you covered. Each month, Xbox rewards their Xbox Live Gold members with free games, and this month their Xbox 360 “Games with Gold” program has two titles up for grabs: the open-world crime game Sleeping Dogs, and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.
When Crackdown was released in 2007, the game was something of a surprise hit for Microsoft’s still-fledgling Xbox 360. The title combined all of the best elements of classic arcade games with building-leaping excitement and gun-toting explosive action as you worked to destroy the gangs of Pacific City.
Everything old is new again. With bowls full of old school candy, retro-looking whigs, and a couple of stand-up arcade machines, the good folks from the Xbox PR team held an 80s-themed party in downtown Toronto to promote the new Xbox Live Game Room.
The Xbox 360 is about to get a little more social as Microsoft announced details for their Fall dashboard update, scheduled to happen on December 4th at 2:00 AM (PT).
Thursday, November 15, marks Xbox Live’s fifth year of online gaming, and as a little celebration Microsoft is reaching out to its 8 million members and offering a bit of a thank you.
