One delicious Spider-Man

Spider-Man 3
This might be the first summer in years where I’m actually excited about almost all of the big movies coming out. It is summer though, so obviously they’re all popcorn pictures, but still – Harry Potter, Transformers, Live Free or Die Hard – I think I’m going to be in movie theatres a lot between May and September. And it all kicks off in four weeks with the one film I’m probably most excited for – Spider-Man 3 (which actually has a screening in just three weeks – wohoo!).

Anyway, that is oddly just a side topic to what’s really on my mind – Easter. And how does Easter relate to movies? Well, check out what my mother sent me in the mail yesterday…

Spider-Man chocolateThat’s right – a chocolate Spider-Man – the box has to be over a foot tall, and the chocolate is like eight inches tall. Not exactly what I expected for Easter and I have to admit, I forgot they even made these things. Only my mother would possibly have ever bought one of these for me. But, wow – talk about the kind of gift that makes you do a double-take. Makes me kind of sad to think of all the wasted packaging, but it is still really, really cool – thanks, Mom!

Funny though to think of making chocolate that looks like movie characters. Who wants to eat a chocolate man? I even found it funny that they make chocolate rabbits. I can’t even really imagine how that kind of tradition starts, but it’s hilarious. Especially for a religious holiday.

Anyway, stay tuned. If you haven’t seen the Spider-Man 3 trailer yet, check it out over here. If I get any more chocolate shaped like movie characters I’ll let you all know.

This is a strange request, but could you ask you mom where she found that? We are planning a wedding in a couple of months, and I have been trying to figure out a way to work spidy in…..spidy climbing up the side of the cake to save mary jane bride didn’t exactly work for me…..so I am trying to locate small spidy chocholate to possible use as favors.
Thanks

My bet is that she either got it from Wal-Mart or a Canadian store called Zellers. I know I saw some like it in the whole Easter candy sections, so not sure where you’d find it now.
