Toddler talk for Halloween

In the spirit of Halloween, I wanted to share a conversation I had with my daughter this morning, and the video she was actually trying to get me to play.

Me: What do you want to watch, girlie?
Girlie: Dancin’.
Me: Dancing?
Girlie: Noooooo. Dancin’.
Me: Are you saying dancing?
Girlie: Noooooo. Dancin’.
Me: Do you mean… skeletons?
Girlie: Yeah! Dancin’.

The life of a toddler translator.

If you don’t have kids, it’s worth saying that, probably very obviously, little ones have their own way of pronouncing things sometimes. To this day we can’t get her to say “quack” because it comes out like a swear word (I’ll let you figure out which one), and she’s over 2-years-old now, but other words she’s got down perfectly. You sometimes just don’t know what she’s going to say or ask for next.

So, without further ado, and as a little throwback to yesteryear, here’s the skeletons she was looking for:
