Holiday Gift Guide 2010: Featured charities

by W. Andrew Powell

Gift BoxThe holidays are a time of giving, sharing, and for family, but it’s also a time to reach out and support charities and organizations that always need more support.

To launch The GATE’s annual Holiday Gift Guide series, which will run over the next two weeks, I wanted to first take some time to suggest a few charities that you can support this holiday season. Before you finish your shopping for your family and friends this year, please take a moment and make a donation to one of these important organizations, or reach out and find an organization that supports a cause that you feel strongly about. Whether you can give $10, $50, or more, every dollar can make a big difference for these causes.
