For anyone looking to get on the road for part of the holidays this year, or if you live around the Sandusky, Ohio area, The GATE’s new sister website Road Tripper has details on some of the upcoming holiday events you can enjoy over the next few weeks.

“Sandusky is a charming, picturesque town, with history and a multitude of activities for visitors, and although summer in the area is jam-packed, there are a lot of fun events coming up over the next few weeks for travellers looking to get in some holiday cheer around the city’s historic waterfront.”

Among the events coming up in the area, visitors can take in the Santa Hustle! at Castaway Bay, which is a 5K and half marathon for runners in Santa outfits, and “volunteers will be in elf costumes,” and the Toast to the Town, which takes place on December 31 at the Merry-Go-Round Museum, and includes drinks, appetizers, live music, a silent auction, and rides on the historic carousel.
