Last minute gifts under $100

Jacek Chocolate

If you’re looking for a few exceptional last-minute gift ideas for that person in your life who’s just a bit hard to shop for, I’ve got the answer with 10 things that are sure to please almost anyone on your list. From chocolate to whisky, gadgets, makeup, and soap, and it’s all between $10 and $85.

Jacek Chocolates – Box of Joy

What better way to spread some joy this Christmas with Jacek Chocolates’ Box of Joy. A small Box of Joy includes a variety of six different goodies, including premium chocolate bars and chocolates. And the chocolate is some of the best I’ve had in a long time.

The Audrey Bar, pictured above, features dried cherries and pistachio, and it’s an absolute favorite, but everything I sampled was a treat, and the chocolates had more subtle nuances to the flavours than I’ve tasted from a lot of companies.

The catch? I missed the date so you can buy online, so you’ll have to head to Alberta to find a store, but the chocolate is amazing if you’re in Alberta.

Tile Mate & Tile Pro

If you have someone who is prone to losing things, Tile is the gift they need.

The devices are small, simple to use, and they’re sold at a lot of stores (Canadian Tire has them, for example). To use the Tile, just open the box, install the app, pair with the Tile, and then attach it to your keys, gym bag, briefcase, or luggage.

When you need to find the item, just open up the app, hit Find, and the Tile will make a noise so you can track it down. The Tile Mate works for up to 150 feet, while the Tile Pro works up to 300 feet, and they can reach further when there’s more of them, so they’re great together. You can also press the Tile to find your phone, even if it’s on silent!

Starting at $29. | Amazon, Best Buy, Canadian Tire

White Walker whisky by Johnnie Walker | Game Of Thrones

White Walker whisky by Johnnie Walker | Game Of Thrones

White Walker whisky by Johnnie Walker has the perfect packing for the Game of Thrones lover on your list, but it’s also a very good sipping whisky for the holidays, or for when the series returns for the finale next spring.

Made to be kept in the fridge, where the message on the side (“Winter is here”) will appear, the whisky has a sweet, smooth, and somewhat fruity flavour that distinguishes it from other Johnnie Walker releases.

The whisky even comes from distilleries that endure long, Scottish winters, making it a perfect companion for the White Walkers of The North.

Retails for $59 from the LCBO in Ontario.

Ploom pillow by Sleep Country

Ploom pillow by Sleep Country

Who doesn’t need better sleep? If you’re not ready to buy a new Bloom mattress from Sleep Country as a present, then the Ploom memory foam pillows are a step in the right direction.

Featuring a plush, removable cover on the memory foam interior, the Ploom pillows are great for side and back sleepers alike, and they’re perfectly comfortable. Kind of like sleeping on a firm but squishy cloud.

The ventilated outer layer also means they don’t warm up, and you can hand wash that layer to keep the pillow fresh.

Retails for $85 from Sleep Country.

The Perth Soap Co. Soaps, Washes & Lotions

The Perth Soap Co. is one of my favorite Canadian soap companies, and their products are wonderful and well-priced.

From cleansing bars to beauty oil, cleansing oil, and body lotion, their products come in a range of scents, and they’re incredibly well-made.

A few of my favorite scents include Neroli & Sea Salt, Milk & Honey, Sparkling Champagne, and Moroccan Spice. The cleansing bars are so good, I use them instead of body wash, which is better for the environment and the bars are just phenomenal.

Retails for between $10 and $35. Available across Canada.

Johnnie Walker Explorer Tasting Pack

If you need a great gift, but you can’t choose one whisky to give this season, why not choose 5? The Johnnie Walker Explorer Tasting Pack includes five 50 ml premium samples, featuring Black Label, Double Black, Gold Label Reserve, Aged 18 Years, and one of my favorites, Blue Label.

Retails for $49.95.
