    LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, The Killers, Major Lazer, M83, HAIM, Chvrches and sixty other artists will hit the stage this summer in Ontario, from July 22 to 24, as WayHome Music and Arts festival returns to Burl’s Creek Event Grounds for a second year.

    The JFL42 Comedy Festival is returning for its second year in Toronto, and for 2013 it boasts several high profile comedians, including the entire cast of Family Guy, Aziz Ansari and Sarah Silverman. The festival will run for ten days from September 19 to 28.

    The second day of Sled Island, one of Calgary’s biggest and best music festivals, was quite rainy. The festival features over 250 bands in over 30 venues over five days. Due to flooding in the Calgary area, several shows were moved or cancelled.

    One of Calgary’s best music festival, Sled Island, has officially begun. The festival includes over 250 bands in over 30 venues over five days. The first day of Sled Island was busy, but not as busy as later days will get. First, I stopped by Commonwealth and then went to Republik.

    Saturday night at NXNE is always a panicked evening of venue hopping as festival goers attempt to see as many acts as possible and not spend too long in a cab or waiting for a streetcar. Many people pick an area of town and wander from bar to bar, listening to a few songs here and there until an act really grabs them and they stick around for a full set.
