Once again, “The Charming Taste of Europe” proudly supports the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) in Canada, an annual celebration of culture, creativity, and collaboration between Europe and Canada.
The 2025 edition of the European Union Film Festival in Toronto invites audiences to experience the beauty and diversity of European cinema. Taking place in person from November 13 to 27, 2025, at the Spadina Theatre (Alliance Française Toronto, 24 Spadina Rd), and online from December 1 to 15, 2025, the festival features a curated lineup of films representing all 27 EU member states, as well as one film from Ukraine. From heartfelt dramas to bold comedies, from award-winning documentaries to visionary debuts, this year’s edition showcases the richness of European storytelling.
In partnership with the Canadian Film Institute, EU Member States, and the Delegation of the European Union to Canada, the EUFF continues to promote cultural dialogue and cinematic excellence.
As part of this year’s festivities, “The Charming Taste of Europe” invites film lovers to a special wine tasting event on November 19, 2025 (7:30 pm – 8:15 pm) at the Spadina Theatre, just before the screening of the Italian film “Casanova’s Return” (Il ritorno di Casanova). Attendees will enjoy a refined selection of Italian wines from Abruzzo, French wines from Bordeaux, as well as kiwis, celebrating Europe’s deep agricultural traditions and flavors.

The Charming Taste of Europe is an EU co-funded campaign promoting some of Europe’s finest products in the U.S. and Canada, including premium wines and fresh kiwis. The campaign highlights the excellence, authenticity, and cultural richness of these products and is promoted by the Consortium for the Protection of Wines of Abruzzo (Italy), the Union of Sweet Bordeaux Wines (France), and the Association of Imathia’s Agricultural Cooperatives (Greece). Through different activities such as events, tastings, and collaborations, it connects consumers with Europe’s heritage and taste, bringing a touch of European charm to every experience.
