The Juno Awards have returned to Toronto for the first time in eleven years, but 2011 marks an even bigger anniversary for the event, which celebrates 40 years of celebrating Canadian music this year.

On Tuesday, February 1, Canadaian musicians were in the spotlight once again as the list of nominees were revealed for the 2011 Juno Awards, which will celebrate their 40th anniversary by bringing the festivities back to Toronto for the first time in eleven years.
Earlier this month I had the pleasure of speaking to Melanie Berry, president of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, which is the organization responsible for the annual Juno Awards.
