Travelling in style

by W. Andrew Powell

Over the last couple of days Aisha and I explored the Rockwood area a bit, and it ended up being a great little trip. We camped out at the park Thursday night, and then wandered around Guelph on Friday before heading back in to Toronto. Here’s a couple of my favorite photos from the trip – the second is indeed a night shot, in case you’re wondering – shot with the shutter open for about 15 seconds.

The highlight of the trip ended up being our stop at the Halton County Radial Railway, also known as the Streetcar & Electric Railway Museum. Amazing to see some of the old streetcars running again, and to see how much work has gone into the property. I’m going to write an article on the visit, but if you’re over near Milton (13629 Guelph Line to be exact), stop in for a visit – you can ride the streetcars around the line, and they’re looking for support to help restore more of the trains they have.
