The GATE and Elevation Pictures are giving away double passes to see Greta Gerwig’s directorial debut, Lady Bird, which opens in select cities on November 10, and expands across Canada on November 17.

Saoirse Ronan stars as Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson in this funny, heartfelt story about a girl coming of age while she plans for college, and also deals with her controlling, loving mother.

The GATE has 3 double passes to give away for advance screenings on Wednesday, November 15 in Halifax, Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg, in addition to 3 double run of engagement passes for theatres in Toronto, Victoria, and Ottawa.

Synopsis: In Lady Bird, Greta Gerwig reveals herself to be a bold new cinematic voice with her directorial debut, excavating both the humor and pathos in the turbulent bond between a mother and her teenage daughter. Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson (Saoirse Ronan) fights against but is exactly like her wildly loving, deeply opinionated and strong-willed mom (Laurie Metcalf), a nurse working tirelessly to keep her family afloat after Lady Bird’s father (Tracy Letts) loses his job. Set in Sacramento, California in 2002, amidst a rapidly shifting American economic landscape, Lady Bird is an affecting look at the relationships that shape us, the beliefs that define us, and the unmatched beauty of a place called home.

Giveaway Details: The GATE’s Lady Bird giveaway is open to residents of Canada who are over the age of 18. Contest closes on November 10, 2017 at noon (ET) for Toronto, Victoria, and Ottawa, and Monday, November 13, 2017 at noon (ET) for all other cities.
