Listen: Sara Kays’ “Rich Boy”

by W. Andrew Powell
Sara Kays

Sara Kays and “Rich Boy” are exactly what my playlist needed. Kays has a transcendent voice, and her enthralling single “Rich Boy” is effortless, and confidant.

The single is forlorn, and even a bit heartbreaking, as Kays sings about family expectations, and some of the ugly truth of anyone who would tell a woman to marry rich.

Kays picked up her first guitar at the age of 13, and started performing when she was 14. The singer and songwriter, hailing from Nashville, TN these days, grew up in Indiana, where she played gigs and busked.

She moved to Atlanta and released her debut EP, and now she’s working on new music for an upcoming release.

Listen to her new EP A House Too Big, and then follow Sara Kays on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
