Two-time Grammy award winner Tori Kelly has been busy since she released her new album, Inspired By True Events late in 2019, and one of my favourite singles off the album is “2 Places”, featuring her gorgeous, silky vocals.
Soulful and bright, the single is unmistakably Tori Kelly, but her sound has evolved since her 2018 album, Hiding Place. “2 Places” and the new album hit a great balance between lighter pop and a more mature style.
Kelly produced Inspired By True Events and co-wrote all of the songs, and the album was co-produced by Jimmy Napes, who also co-wrote a number of tracks, including the single “Change Your Mind”.
Her 2015 debut album, Unbreakable Smile, earned an incredible one billion streams around the world and sold more than 1.3 million albums.
Kelly is touring Europe starting in March, with dates in Glasgow, Manchester, London, Paris, and Berlin. She also recently released a live video for her single, “Coffee”, and you can watch a live session recorded at Capital Studios on YouTube.
