The 80s classic “Take On Me” gets the cover treatment from Mia Amare, featuring Sarah Bird, and it’s one of the best electro-pop covers I’ve heard all year.
Berliner DJane Mia Amare teams up with her friend Sarah Bird–award-winning Australian singer and songwriter–and it’s a match made in retro music heaven. Bird’s vocals soar about the danceable beats, in a cover that’s very true to the original, with Amare’s unique style all over it.
Since getting started in 2015, and after her very popular “Happy House” DJ mix series, Amare has built up a loyal following with millions of plays on YouTube.
Amare and Bird met last year at Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany.
