Toledo’s “Lovely” is the definition of low-key jubilation. The track is a moodbooster that sounds like sunshine in the woods. It’s calming, bright, and I may just start waking up to this track to get my day started right.
“Lovely is our attempt at a happy song,” the band said. “It’s a song is about meeting someone that makes you see the world differently. We do our best to have as much fun as possible when recording, and here that resulted in barking dogs, glitching guitars, and lots of ad libbing.”
The Brooklyn, NYC band is an indie project by musicians Daniel Alvarez de Toledo and Jordan Dunn-Pilz.
