Nix’s bold, bright and powerful new single, “Fools”

Toronto’s Nix released her bold new pop single, “Fools”, today, and it’s a real pop banger from the up-and-comer.

The beat is fantastic, the lyrics are fiery and inspired–like they’ve come straight from her heart–and Nix’s vocals are truly powerful. She’s a strong singer with a style that throws back to inspired icons from the 90s, in the best way possible.

The singer and songwriter takes some of her inspiration from 90s-pop divas as well as old-school crooners, but she has also performed with jazz ensembles and studied classical violin for a decade. That range shows in singles like “Fools”.

Nix was a published poet at the age of 14, and she’s been a semi-finalist in a number of music competitions, from The Music City Songstar Competition, to the UK Songwriting Competition, International Songwriting Competition, and The Great American Song Contest, among others.

She’s also worked with multi-platinum producer Roy Hamilton III (Britney Spears, Beyoncé, and Michael Jackson), award-winning singer-songwriter Mat “Songsbury” Teofilo (Madonna, Miley Cyrus, and Diplo), and she co-wrote music with Grammy-nominated songwriter Ethan Hulse.
