Fall is my favorite season for travel. The leaves are changing, the weather is perfect for cozy sweaters, and there’s nothing like a walk in the woods, a hike, or maybe a trip to an orchard to pick apples. My family celebrated fall foliage last week with our first trip to the Westin Trillium House, Blue Mountain near Collingwood, Ontario, and it was a fun escape with a view, fresh air, and a chance to explore Blue Mountain.
Collingwood
There are dozens of great destinations within a short drive of Toronto, and one of the best, whether you go in summer, spring, fall or winter, is Collingwood and the Blue Mountains. During a recent trip in the Ford Flex Limited, my family and I had a chance to escape and really take the beautiful area in while testing out the vehicle.
Don’t look now, but summer seems to be waning even though it feels like it just started. That’s the usual story this time of year, and it’s why I always try to make the most of things. That’s probably my mantra, come to think of it–and at least I’ve had some great things to work with these last couple of weeks.
