Tonight was the first night that I saw the new Juno Awards, and I can honestly say I’m kind of appalled.

Winners announced to date for the 2011 Juno Awards, held in Toronto. Thirty-two award winners were announced during the Juno Gala Dinner and Awards, with the remaining eight awards handed out during the Juno Awards telecast on CTV.
Shad, Arcade Fire, Neil Young, and Johnny Reid were just some of the winners named this evening as the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences honoured the first 32 winners for this year’s Juno Awards.

On Tuesday, February 1, Canadaian musicians were in the spotlight once again as the list of nominees were revealed for the 2011 Juno Awards, which will celebrate their 40th anniversary by bringing the festivities back to Toronto for the first time in eleven years.
