Mexico is calling this fall, starting in October, as Flair Airlines announced non-stop flights from Vancouver and Toronto to Mexico City International Airport Benito Juárez (MEX).
The inaugural flights will start on October 27 from YVR, departing at 7:10 AM, with the first return flight at 12:45 AM on October 28. The inaugural flight from Toronto departs at 8:15 PM on October 29, with the first return flight on October 29 at 12:45 AM.
One-way fares will start at $160 from YYZ to MEX, and $141 from YVR to MEX, with return flights starting from $120.
Flights depart on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays from Vancouver, and Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from Toronto.
“For too long, flights to Mexico City have been out of reach for too many,” said Maciej Wilk, CEO of Flair Airlines. “We’re changing that. Flair is the only value airline in Canada, making it possible for customers to explore the capital of Mexico, and for Mexicans to discover all that Toronto and Vancouver have to offer.”
Flair Airlines also flies to Cancun, Guadalajara, and Puerto Vallarta.
“Mexico and Canada have long enjoyed a close and dynamic relationship, connecting families, businesses, and curious travellers who explore each other’s rich cultures,” said Acting Consul General Luis Hernandez. “On behalf of the Consulate General of Mexico in Vancouver, I am delighted to welcome Flair’s new direct flights to Mexico City from Vancouver and Toronto. Expanding reliable and affordable air service strengthens the vital links between our two nations and opens new opportunities for travel, tourism, and economic exchange.”
