DJI announced the Osmo Pocket 4 this morning and the new stabilized camera is packed with updates and improvements that make it very appealing for content creators, starting with recording up to 4K/240fps footage.

The Osmo Pocket 4’s new 1-inch CMOS sensor offers up to f/2.0, with 14 stops of dynamic range thanks to 10-bit D-Log colour, 2x lossless quality zoom, and improvements for low light conditions, including a new low light mode.

DJI is launching the device for pre-sale in China today, and other regions–including Canada–starting on April 22, 2026. Notably, DJI also announced that the device will not launch in the U.S. market, at least currently, as their “application for authorization is still pending.”

The camera retails for $477 USD for the Standard Combo, and $609 USD for the Creator Combo.

One of the biggest upgrades for the camera is the addition of on-device memory, with 107 GB of built-in storage at 800 MB/s so you can capture without worrying about memory cards.

DJI also added a dedicated zoom button so creators can switch effortlessly between 1x and 2x zoom, and the device tracks subjects even up to 4x digital zoom with ActiveTrack 7.01, and new tracking modes including Spotlight Follow and Dynamic Framing.

Subject Lock Tracking is a new feature that locks onto your subject, or you can use Registered Subject Priority to have the device remember subjects and prioritize them while you’re shooting, which will be particularly useful in crowded scenes.

Gesture controls make it easy to start and stop capturing: just flash the peace sign at the camera and the Osmo Pocket 4 will start or stop recording.

DJI has also upgraded the functionality of the joystick, making it easier to adjust shooting angles in all directions, and there’s a button that can be customized with a preferred settings.

Capture settings include a slow shutter mode, for motion blur and movement trails, a range of film tones that you can capture in, and DJI also has a new accessory for the camera; a fill light for filming in low-light conditions, with options for brightness and temperature.

The microphone array has been improved, and the device supports DJI’s impressive microphone ecosystem, including the DJI Mic 2, 3, and Mic Mini.

Finally, battery life and charging times have also been improved. The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 can run for up to 240 minutes when recording at 1080p/24fps, and it charges from 0 to 80% in just 18 minutes, offering up to three hours of shooting.
