This week means war! My review copies of Gears of War: Judgement and God of War: Ascension both arrived in the mail–and I only have a few days to dive in and review them, but they look interesting.
I already dove into Gears of War: Judgement during the recent Xbox Spring Preview event, so I’ve had a short test drive of the game and controls, but I’m looking forward to seeing where this takes the franchise since I’ve been playing all the Gears games since the series debuted.
On the other hand, I’ve honestly never had the chance to play any of the God of War titles, although I’ve seen them for years at PlayStation events, so I’m excited to finally pick up the controls and wreak a little havoc with Kratos.
The other cool arrival today though was the final two episodes of Merlin, which wraps up on Space in Canada on Saturday, March 23. The trouble there is that I’m totally behind on watching Merlin, so I’ve got to decide if I can catch up in time, or if I just watch the finale out of context of the rest of the series.
Next week I’ll have more on the games, plus a little something about the end of Merlin, so stay tuned. (Next week is also Canadian Music Week/Canadian Music Fest, the Hot Docs press conference, interviews with Fede Alvarez, the director of the Evil Dead remake, and for the upcoming Night of the Living Dead Live theatre production in Toronto, and the Canadian Film Centre Media Lab’s ideaBOOST Launch Pad event… just to name a few things. It’s going to be busy!
