Happy Canada Day! This year the country is celebrating Canada’s 146th birthday, and I thought it was worth putting together a little video playlist to celebrate the holiday with some of the best home grown music of the last couple of decades.
It seems impossible to put together the definitive list of Canada’s best songs, but this playlist has a few of my favorites that jumped out at me. In other words, when I thought about it, I knew I had to include Classified, k-os, the Tragically Hip, Metric, Blue Rodeo, and Serena Ryder. There were a lot of other songs and artists that I thought of, but for this playlist–and to keep it light and upbeat–I thought I’d keep it to just 20 songs.
