TIFF 13: Video round-up

TIFF Red Carpet

The festivities are officially over! The non-stop screenings, red carpets, interviews, parties and events have all wrapped, and the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival has come to a close. That’s both a good and a bad thing, since I already miss everything that was going on in the city, but I’m also really looking forward to a few minutes of relaxation finally.

First up though, I had to share a round-up of all the video interviews I posted during the festival, including some major highlights with the likes of Ron Howard, Kate Winslet, Benedict Cumberbatch, Nicole Kidman, Carice van Houten, and The Proclaimers.

This was one of the biggest years at TIFF for me. I didn’t end up taking photos on any red carpets (which is what I usually have done in the past), but instead focused on doing interviews, and while that’s a tough gig–to try and actually get a few decent questions in as stars rush by–it was pretty incredible, especially since it led to me speaking with Ron Howard.

The challenge is always balancing interviews, and focusing on Canadian directors and talent, with everything else, and while I didn’t end up getting to screen a lot of films, it’s hard to complain about getting so many interviews.

Watch the full playlist of my videos from TIFF 13 below, and thanks for checking out my coverage. See you next year.

Of course, it’s worth noting that this year was a little harder than usual, since I had a newborn at home, and I tried to support my very patient wife. That said, I’m very happy with all I ended up doing, and I hope everyone enjoys the interviews and other coverage.

Here’s looking forward to TIFF 2014!
