Ready Or Not 2 Review | Faith and Grace, too

by W. Andrew Powell

Just when she thought she was out, they pulled her back in. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come kicks off right where the first film ends, with Samara Weaving returning as Grace, and joined this time by her sister, Faith, played by Kathryn Newton.

Grace may have survived the Le Domas family, but now more families are after her as they fight for the High Seat of a demonic council that rules the world.

While the first half of the film takes a while to build up to the action, and the locations are underwhelming, the film starts to cook once Grace and Faith start kicking ass. Elijah Wood as Satan’s lawyer is a definite highlight, alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, and David Cronenberg, all make for interesting, bloody moments.

The story could be bigger and bolder, but it ends with a killer scene that I hope could lead to a grand finale.
