ShyBoy’s “Backroom” could be right out of an 80s club, fusing post-disco with contemporary pop, and fresh dance beats for a song that feels timelessly fun.
The single could have be right out of a movie, so it makes sense that it was featured in the CW’s second season of Dynasty. And the vocals are slick, rich, and addictive.
ShyBoy is a vocalist, songwriter, producer, and DJ, and in 2017 he was named by LA Weekly as the Best Solo Artist of the year. His music has also been featured on a number of shows and films, including RuPaul’s Drag Race, America’s Next Top Model, Sex And The City, The Devil May Cry 4, the 2018 trailer for Halloween.
Beyond his own music, ShyBoy has also collaborated with numerous artists, from SlimKid3, Nicole Scherzinger, and Wendy Waldman, to writer & producer Bryan Fuller and songwriter Allee Willis.
