“Bittersweet” by Kaeley Jade

Kaeley Jade

Kaeley Jade has a voice like an angel, and her new single “Bittersweet” hooked me from the moment she started singing. It’s a gorgeous folk-pop track with just a hint of lovely country twang.

From Jade’s debut EP, Years Ago, the song is wistful, dreamy, and light, and it’s a wonderful track to start the New Year, as a lot of us are certainly “trying to move on.” I also love the way Jade blends pop, country, and folk effortlessly, and with a skill that amazed me.

After listening to Years Ago, I’m looking forward to seeing Jade on stage one day, too.

The EP also features the incredibly upbeat and pop-y title track, “Years Ago,” as well as “Elijah,” and “Highway 16.”

The award-winning Métis singer and songwriter, from Edmonton, Alberta, has performed at Big Valley Jamboree, the Tim Horton’s Brier, and the Canadian Country Music Awards Week. Jade was featured with the Edmonton Pops Orchestra.
