Yorkdale Shopping Centre and Swarovski Canada kicked off the holidays earlier this month with the Swarovski Crystal Wonderland, a special event featuring singer Jully Black in support of The Hospital for Sick Children, along with Frank Ferragine from City’s Breakfast Television, and a performance by Strings in Motion.

The highlight of the display is a Swarovski tree that has been decorated with 20,000 Swarovski crystals in the Centre Court at Yorkdale. Plus, Yorkdale has created an “enchanted crystalized forest full of beautiful iconic Canadian wildlife” around Santa’s sleigh in the Sears Court.

It’s not too late to get involved for a good cause either. Running every Saturday until December 13, Torontonians can support SickKids by signing up for the Swarovski Children’s Sparkling Dreams Workshops, which run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The workshop is $20, and includes a Swarovski crystal decorating kit with a frosted ornament and colourful crystals to personalize it. Sign up for the workshops by visiting www.yorkdale.com or call 905-752-0498 extension 3346.

Swarovski crystalized gift tags are also available in support of SickKids for $2.
