Summer is officially here and one of my favourite patios is back in the heart of Toronto. Union Summer returns to Union Station until August 9, 2026, and you can drop in to enjoy food, cocktails and mocktails, plus free live music.
The spacious patio is always a highlight, and this year local food options include dishes by Wicked Carib, Sumaq, The Taqueria by Narcos Tacos, Ugly Delicious, Ruru Baked, The Carlsberg Bar, and more.
I loved sampling The Taqueria, and their birria tacos were fantastic and filling, and I also loved the falafel plate from Sumaq, but the veal shawarma plate also looks delicious. And you should definitely try dessert at Ruru Baked, or grab a cocktail from the Carlsberg Bar; they offer a great mojito and Finnish mule.
Plus, if you’re heading downtown for an event, you can stop by for happy hour from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, or a bucket o’ brass beer is $50 for 5 any time.
Union Summer is open Sunday to Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM; Thursday and Friday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM;
Saturday from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM; and on July 2 only from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Curious what you should try at Union Summer? Full menus are available on the website, including prices and pictures of some of the menu items.
