Are you looking for a unique and free activity in the heart of Toronto? Union Station’s Roller Express is bringing the joy of roller skating to the historic TD West Carriageway, and there’s nothing else quite like it in the city.
Whether you’re planning a family outing or a unique date night, Roller Express is a lot of fun for everyone, and includes free coat check, free lessons, and free rentals.
A one-of-a-kind venue
The carriageway at Union Station has been transformed into a lively roller rink, making it one of the few places in the GTA where you can lace up roller skates. The space feels just like a traditional rink, just without the ice, with plenty of seating.
Free skating and rentals
Admission is free, but you will need to book your time slot in advance. TD cardholders enjoy early access by showing their card on arrival.
Skate rentals and protective gear (helmets, wrist guards, and pads) are also free with a valid photo ID. Children 12 and under are required to wear protective gear.
Event details and hours
Visit Roller Express runs until January 18 at the TD West Carriageway, inside Union Station. Enter on the west side of the building, off of York Street.
Regular hours for the event are from November 26 until December 21, and from January 5, 2026 until January 18, 2026:
