Orlando has some of the best theme parks, roller coasters, and rides. There’s a lot more to do in Orlando though, and there is so much to do for art and culture lovers, foodies, and the adventurous.

Tofino is an incredible kid friendly little surfing village on Vancouver Island with an excellent food scene.
The Halifax Citadel in Nova Scotia is an incredible historic site that’s filled with stories. During the day, you can take a stroll and learn about the history of the former military fortification from the interpreters. At night though, the fortress gets a little spooky, and that’s what makes the Halifax Citadel Ghost Tours so much fun.
St. Andrews By-The-Sea is one of New Brunswick’s most beautiful ocean-front destinations. The sea-side town has a little bit of everything, and you’re going to fall in love the moment you arrive.
Ontario Parks offer some of the best outdoor experiences in the province, and I can’t get enough of them, especially in the summer. My wife and I have stayed at most of the parks in southern Ontario, and one favourite is Bon Echo Provincial Park.
If I had the chance, some day I would love to spend the summer at a cabin or in an RV somewhere. Every year I look forward to summer vacation, and nothing really beats getting out of the city for a few days to one of Ontario’s incredible forests, nestled along a lake somewhere.
There is nothing as good for the soul as travel, if you ask me, and this year I’m already excited about a few family trips we’ve been planning.
Rick Mercer finished 15 seasons of the Rick Mercer Report this week, and I’m going to miss him, but I also can’t help but be excited to see what he does next. He also made a great point in his final rant for the show, and it really got me excited about Canada.
Travel is one of the best gifts that you can give your kids, opening up the world to them with memories that will literally last a lifetime. According to a study by Emirates Airline, children get bored just 49 minutes into flights though, so what can parents do during bigger trips–especially long-haul flights–to make the experience easier on everyone?
Canada is breathtaking. From coast to coast to coast, and along the border, Canada is a place of discovery, and even for those of us who live here, there are new adventures around every corner. In the fall, my family and I had a trip of a lifetime when we drove a 2017 Ford Edge from St. John’s, Newfoundland to the stunning Fogo Island, and stayed at the Fogo Island Inn.
