DJI Osmo Pocket 3 | $719

The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is the best vlogging camera out there today, and it’s easy to use, with very impressive results.
The 4K handheld camera captures video and photos, timelapses, slow motion, and much more. One of the best features though is the stabilization, delivering ultra-smooth motion for videos, making shots look epic.
Creators can easily film themselves, for vlogging, or their subject, and keep everything perfectly in frame thanks to the large display on the device, and the Pocket 3 films horizontal or vertical video, too.
On top of everything else, the video quality is rich, smooth, and detailed. For anyone looking for a new camera, especially rather than using a phone, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is the perfect gift. You can purchase the camera through DJI directly, or on Amazon.
OnePlus Pad 2 | $749

For the creator who needs a versatile device on the go, without carrying around a laptop, the OnePlus Pad 2 is one of the best Android tablets, at half the price of their competitors.
Featuring a bright, 3K 12.1″ display, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and a powerful processor for multitasking, the Pad 2 is fast, efficient, and impressive.
The tablet’s 67W SUPERVOOC charging, with the included brick and USB cable, means that it’s ready to go quickly, with more than 40 days of standby power. Plus it charges from 0% to 100% in just over 80 minutes.
For a little extra, you can add on an incredibly useful keyboard cover and the Stylo 2 pen. During down time, the Pad 2 is great for gaming, streaming, and music, too, making it one of my favourite all-around devices of the year. Purchase the OnePlus Pad 2 from OnePlus.

Sound quality is just as important as video, and that’s where the Godox Magic XT1 comes in, with 2.4GHz high-quality wireless audio for cameras, phones, and even computers.
The Magic XT1 delivers 48kHz/24bit hi-res audio with three recording modes, a touchscreen, noise reduction filter, and 10 volume levels for a wide range of uses. The wireless microphones are light and can be attached multiple ways, and include windscreens for outdoor shooting.
You can also use the microphones at up to 200 meters away from the receiver, line-of-sight, for almost any type of filming, with up to 8 hours of recording time.
Connected to a computer via USB-C, the Magic XT1 even works well in the studio. Purchase the lavalier microphone from Amazon or from most camera stores.
Pixel 9 Pro | $1,349

Today a phone is more than a phone, especially for creators. A great phone is a camera, it’s a studio, it’s a workspace, and it’s a connection to business. The Pixel 9 Pro embodies all of that, with the kind of power and features that creators need every day.
High quality cameras, capturing 4K video, make it easy to vlog or film a scene, while features like speech enhancement makes it easier to capture good audio, even in a crowded room, without external microphones. But I especially love the quality of the video stabilization, the new Night Sight video for capturing even in dark scenes, and as a photographer, I also really appreciate that Google still delivers one of the best cameras for photos.
The Pixel 9 Pro is available at cell phone carriers, Best Buy Canada, and from the Google Store.
Zhiyun Fiveray M20 | $109

The Zhiyun Fiveray M20 is a pocket-sized light that’s easy to adjust for a wide range of use. The light features 20W of output, plus effects, mounting options, barn doors, a diffuser, and a honeycomb grid.

The colour temperature settings ranges from 2700K to 6500K, it offers peak illuminance of 2010 Lux, and the light is useful mounted directly on the camera, on a stand, or just about anywhere.
For any type of subject–from food and drinks, to people, and smaller scenes–the Fiveray M20 is very versatile. Purchase it from Zhiyun’s shop, or Amazon.

Purchase Pro Ultimate MicroSD cards from Samsung, and Amazon.
Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L | $159

Every creator needs a good place to store their gear when they’re on the go, and I love a good sling bag. Peak Design makes a wide range of great straps, accessories, and most importantly, bags, including the new Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L.
The new sling fits a DSLR camera, plus a couple of extras, whether they need to bring a lens, camera accessories, or they’re packing a drone and a controller. It’s light, flexible, durable, and just big enough to carry quite a bit on the next trip or adventure.
Peak Design also has a range of backpacks, larger and smaller slings, and they make my favourite camera strap out there.
Purchase the Everyday Sling 6L V2 from Vistek, and on Amazon.
Synology BeeStation | $332

Synology is my favourite storage solution brand, and for very good reason. They make exceptional NAS devices for a wide range of uses, and one of their latest is the new BeeStation personal cloud system.
BeeStation is essentially a personal-sized NAS, with a fixed 4 TB of storage that you can setup to access remotely, or from within your home, or office. The cloud-like system sets up easily for those who may not know a lot about configuring a standard NAS, and there are no monthly costs like regular cloud storage.
For photographers, or even just business people who need access to their files, it means they can store what they need and connect to use it from their phone or computer. And it works to help organize photos, files, connect to other services like OneDrive, and more.
Purchase BeeStation from Amazon and Canada Computers.
