After a 13-city audition tour that took the judges across Canada and brought thousands of hopefuls before them, Canadian Idol has it’s top ten finalists and the stage is set for fans across the country to choose their new pop sensation.
Now that all the dust has settled the final competitors are: Daryl Brunt (16) from Sudbury, ON; Amber Fleury (26) from Calgary, AB; Rex Goudie (19) from Burlington, NL; Casey LeBlanc (17) from Nackawic, NB; Ashley Leitao (18) from Burnaby, BC; Melissa O’Neil (17) from Calgary, AB; Josh Palmer (22) from Saskatoon, SK; Suzi Rawn (22) from Kamloops, BC; Emily Vinette (17) from Ottawa, ON; and Aaron Walpole (26) from St. Thomas, ON.
Sure, we’re not convinced any of them will ever become the next Shania Twain or Bryan Adams, but they’re still entertaining and over the coming weeks the finalists will belt out their songs, show off their stage presence, and dress for success before one of them takes the Idol crown. Because we think they are so entertaining we’ve picked our five favorites, based on both talent, and of course, their purty smiles.
