White Elephant, Nantucket’s premiere resort, reopened today after a complete renovation, celebrating their 100th anniversary, and revealing a partnership with luxury artisan brand, Arhaus.

Working with Elizabeth Lowrey, principal at Elkus Manfredi Architects, the design firm that also worked on White Elephant Palm Beach, the new look and feel of the rooms and resort reflects natural landscapes with bright, airy colours and textures.

The historic resort’s partnership with Arhaus features artisan-crafted furniture and décor around outdoor spaces, as well as balconies and private decks. Limited edition, co-branded White Elephant X Arhaus embroidered?cashmere throws are also available for sale at the hotel and online.

Inside the resort’s redesigned lobby, guests will find local elements, like a basket weave carpet, an expanded retail space, and art by Israeli painter Orit Fuchs featuring a harborside scene of a woman in a rowboat, floating by the resort. New works of art have also been installed across the resort spaces.

This summer the White Elephant will expand their culinary options, too. From July 9 to 27, White Elephant will be home to Grill 23, Nantucket’s only steakhouse featuring a 118-seat dining room with favourites like A5 Wagyu, 100-day dry aged ribeye, and raw bar.

White Elephant is a collection of accommodations in Massachusetts’s beautiful, remote island community. In addition to 54 rooms, the resort features 11 cottages, and suites, with options for one-, two-, and three-bedroom cottages.

Nightly rates this summer start at $375 for guestrooms, $675 for suites, $775 for a one-bedroom cottage, and $1,275 for two- and three-bedroom cottages. Visit the White Elephant website for more details.
