Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Marriott Village review

The Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Marriott Village is a seven minute drive to Walt Disney World and Disney Springs, and it’s an affordable hotel for travellers looking for a good deal.

Compared to staying at most Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and even many other nearby Orlando hotels, the Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista offers low rates with clean, spacious rooms, a pool, free Wi-Fi, play area for children, and restaurants.

The hotel is welcoming, the staff were helpful, there’s parking available, plus it’s very close to a number of attractions. As a Disney Good Neighbor hotel, they also offer free shuttle service to Walt Disney World.

Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista rooms

The hotel rooms are bright, colourful, and offer a lot of space. The beds, bedding, and pillows were all very comfortable, and I slept soundly, which is always a big deal.

I didn’t notice any noise between the rooms, and it was well laid out, with a recent design refresh that still looks inviting.

The rooms feature a desk, a good sized TV for down time, a number of lights, and you can also get rooms with balconies looking out over the pool area.

Rooms are available with two queen beds, a 1 king bed with a sofa bed, and the suites with balconies have a larger sitting area with 1 king bed and a sofa bed, or two queen beds.

The Wi-Fi in the rooms was good and dependable, whether you’re a family who just needs a good connection for streaming, or a business traveller who needs to work.

As this is a larger hotel, it can be a longer walk from the main entrance to some rooms. There are stairwells around the hotel though, and for anyone who needs the elevators or a shorter walk, you can always request a room closer to the main entrance.

Pool, outdoor spaces and amenities

The courtyard at the hotel offers lots of seating and reclining loungers, a large pool, including an indoor pool space, a splash pad area for little kids, and a hot tub.

There are a number of entry points down to the courtyard, so you can easily get there for a swim from any side of the hotel, and even with the number of rooms, I didn’t find the pool or courtyard crowded.

Kids will love the small playground space between the Marriott Village hotels, and you can use the pools and splash pads at the other two hotels.

Marriott Village also has a gift shop, Hertz car rentals, business centre, fitness centre, two cafes offering Starbucks coffee, plus The Market store, and Connections restaurant.

Inside the Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista, The Bistro serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with an option for breakfast buffet, as well as menu options. The service and food were good, and there is even space outside to sit and enjoy the sun in the courtyard.

Location

Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Marriott Village is practically around the corner from Walt Disney World, and it’s only a few minutes to Disney Springs, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, while Epcot is only 15 minutes away, and Magic Kingdom is about 17 minutes away.

The hotel is also close to Vineland Premium Outlets, Gatorland, and it’s less than 20 minutes to Universal CityWalk and Universal Orlando Resort.

Orlando International Airport is only 20 minutes away, Winter Park is about 30 minutes drive, and downtown Orlando is only around 22 minutes.

Overall, it’s very conveniently located, whether you’re driving or taking taxis, or shuttles.
